Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 2026-04-04

This Privacy Policy explains how Map My Day handles your information. The app is designed to keep your travel history private and under your control.

What the app uses

Map My Day uses your location data to build features such as your travel history, visits, saved places, badges, and planned trips. This data is primarily processed and stored on your device.

If analytics are enabled, the app may also send privacy-preserving usage and reliability information, such as feature usage and crash reports, to services like Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. We do not send precise coordinates or place names to analytics.

Where your data is stored

Your location history, saved places, and planned trips stay on your device by default.

If you enable iCloud sync, a private copy of synced data is stored in your iCloud account so your devices can stay in sync. If iCloud sync is turned off, new changes remain only on the current device.

Your choices and control

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We do not run a separate backend service to store your private travel history for our own use.

If you use optional services, your data may be handled by the relevant provider only to support that feature. For example:

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information on your device and in any cloud services you choose to use. Because your travel history is highly sensitive, we aim to keep storage local-first and minimize unnecessary data sharing.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product changes, legal requirements, or improvements in our privacy practices. The latest version will be made available through the app or our website.
